Making a home visit

If you require a home visit, please make your request before 10:30am if possible. You can request through the direct line number or the switchboard. Please be prepared to let the reception know briefly your problem or reason for requesting a home visit.

Things you should know about home visit

Home visit consultation usually takes 4 times longer than one in the surgery. Also access to full records and equipments is not possible during home visit.
For this reason, we often ask our patient to attend the surgery if at all possible.

Lack of transport is not an adequate reason for a visit.
Likewise, a temperature or a rash will not stop patients coming to the surgery and will usually not be a risk to others while attending the appointment.

It may not always be possible for the doctor of your choice to carry out the home visit.
The doctor may give you a call before the visit.
Home visits usually take place in the afternoon.
